Finding the right service provider in Hyderabad through yellow pages or telephone directory is next to impossible. I had to rely completely on friends and family until I ran into these services. Just Dial is my favourite and is programmed into speed dial. Sulkeha has a long way to go before its really useful.
Sulekha.com seems to have the best comprehensive online listing of businesses in Hyderabad, but most information I looked up was outdated or the phone #’s ended up being wrong.
Just Dial is the most reliable anywhere, anytime free directory service. You dont have to carry a book or count on your ISP to be available, just pick up the phone and dial (040 ) 24444444. Just Dial acts as a Directoryas well as a recommendation source. I have not tried their recommendations yet..let me know if you did..

US Consulate : Finally after 2 years of announcing the possibility of a US consulate plan for Hyderabad, AP Government and US Officials signed a formal agreement that would make it work.
The Andhra Pradesh government and US authorities on Tuesday signed a lease agreement paving the way for establishing here the fourth American consulate in India. The agreement for leasing the Paigah Palace, a heritage building, for the consulate was signed by officials from the two sides in the presence of Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and US ambassador to India David C Mulford. Mulford told newsmen that the consulate would start functioning from the temporary facility “sometime in late 2008″ and a permanent facility would come up by 2011 on land offered by the state government.

Lanco Hills, the proposed tallest residential tower in the world has finally opened for bookings. If you are anywhere near Hitec city, you will not miss their ads. Ads indicate it will house an IT Park, Mall, Residential and commercial establishments.. News indicates that its just waiting for some sort of aviation clearance, but I am not sure how the fire department cleared such a structure for Hyderabad.Reliable sources indicate that bookings are happening between 3250/sq ft to 4250/sq ft. Negotiate.. nothing wrong with that…This could also be a gimmick by Lanco to get the press before they spin off and go IPO on their realestate wing.
